Ghanaians will not allow state funds to be used for National Cathedral – Kwabena Bobie Ansah
The host of The Citizen Show on Accra 100.5FM, Kwabena Bobie Ansah, has asserted that Ghanaians would not support the use of taxpayers’ money to finance the construction of the National Cathedral.
According to him, while he supports the project as a Christian, its construction should be funded by the Christian community rather than through public funds.
Speaking on The Citizen Show, Mr. Bobie Ansah said, “As a Christian, I am prepared to contribute towards the construction of the National Cathedral if the Christian community decides to undertake the project without relying on taxpayers’ money.”
He added, “I do not believe the government should use taxpayers’ funds to finance the construction of the National Cathedral when there are several competing national priorities that require public resources.”
Mr. Bobie Ansah maintained that the Christian community could take responsibility for funding the project if it considers the National Cathedral a priority.
