Ibrahim Mahama pledges business support for South African xenophobia victim

Businessman Ibrahim Mahama has offered to fully sponsor a business startup for Emmanuel Asamoah, a Ghanaian citizen who recently returned home after reportedly experiencing xenophobic attacks in South Africa.

The announcement was made by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, in a social media post following a meeting with Mr Asamoah at the Ministry.

The meeting was part of government efforts to assist Mr Asamoah with his resettlement in Ghana after his relocation from South Africa.

Entrepreneurial Support

During their interaction, Minister Ablakwa revealed that the business mogul reached out to offer his assistance.

According to the Minister, Mr Mahama has pledged to fund any business venture of Mr Asamoah's choosing to help him rebuild his life.

Government Resettlement

Minister Ablakwa described the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as encouraging, noting that the focus remains on ensuring the returnee has a sustainable future in Ghana.

The minister expressed gratitude for the support, stating that the interaction centered on helping Mr Asamoah transition back into society after his difficult experience abroad.
