NDC's Richard Asiedu enstooled development chief of Agona Kwanyarko
The Kyidom Disional Council at Agona Kwanyarko in the Central Region has enstooled the Central Regional Chairman of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Richard Asiedu,as the Development Chief of Agona Kwanyarko.
The colourful traditional ceremony held on Saturday May 9 at the Agona Kwanyarko Methodist School Park was under the supevision of Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi VII, the Board Chairman of Water Resoirces Commission brought together chiefs, queen mothers, National Chairman of NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the Chief of Staff, Ahmed Ibrahim, the Minister Local Goverment, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, party supporters, opinion leaders and residents of the community, who gathered to witness the conferment of the chiefly title.
The enstoolment was in recognition of Mr. Asiedu’s contribution to community development and his commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of the people.
Mr Asiedu who is also the Chief Executive Officer of St Andrew Group of Companies will now be known as Nana Asiedu Keteke I traditinally
Traditional leaders at the ceremony praised the NDC Regional Chairman for his dedication to grassroots development and expressed confidence that his new role would help attract more development projects to Agona Kwanyarko and surrounding communities.
Speaking after the ceremony, Mr. Asiedu expressed appreciation to the chiefs and people of Agona Kwanyarko for the honour bestowed on him.
He pledged to work closely with the traditional authorities and residents to promote development, unity and progress in the area.
Mr. Asiedu also reiterated his commitment to supporting initiatives in education, infrastructure, youth empowerment and community welfare as part of efforts to improve living conditions in the community.
