NIA engages Kantamanto traders aAhead of Ghanacard registration exercise
A team from the Corporate Affairs Directorate of the National Identification Authority (NIA) has engaged members of the Kantamanto Market Association at Kantamanto Market in the Greater Accra Region ahead of a scheduled registration exercise.
The engagement formed part of efforts to educate traders on the Ghanacard registration process and related services to ensure a smooth and efficient exercise.
During the session, participants were taken through the requirements for first-time registration, updating personal information, and replacing lost or damaged cards.
Officials also clarified the distinction between the Ghanacard issued to citizens and that issued to non-citizens.
The NIA team further explained the premium service option available to applicants, providing detailed guidance on its benefits and procedures.
An interactive question-and-answer session allowed traders to raise concerns and seek clarification on various aspects of the registration process.
The outreach initiative is aimed at equipping members of the market community with accurate information to facilitate a seamless registration experience during the upcoming exercise.
