The Ghana Police Service (GPS) has carried out a show of force and route march within the Ayawaso East Constituency as part of intensified security preparations ahead of the upcoming parliamentary by-election.

The exercise, according to the Service, forms part of proactive measures aimed at safeguarding peace, maintaining law and order, and ensuring a secure environment before, during, and after the polls.

A strong contingent of officers drawn from various operational units participated in the march, moving through major streets across the constituency in a visible display of readiness. The presence of the security personnel was intended to reassure residents, deter potential troublemakers, and signal the Police Service’s capacity to respond swiftly to any threats to public safety.
