Presidency lists new donors as Children’s Support Fund tops GHS10.1m
The Presidency has released a fresh update on donations received for the Children’s Support Fund established to cater for children affected by the August 6, 2025 helicopter crash, with total contributions now exceeding GHS10 million.
In Public Update Six, dated Saturday, February 28, 2026, Presidency of the Republic of Ghana said donations received between October 17, 2025 and February 7, 2026 continue to bolster support for the welfare and long-term care of the victims’ children.
According to the statement, cumulative donations now stand at GHS 10,150,495.00 and US$20,000.00.

The latest batch of contributors includes state institutions, corporate bodies and private individuals, among them:

How to donate
The Presidency noted that members of the public and organisations wishing to support the fund can make payments through designated accounts at Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited, Stanbic Heights Branch in Accra.

Cheques and bank drafts are to be made payable to Children Support Fund 6825, while mobile money (MoMo) options are also available through approved payment platforms.
The statement was signed by Valerie Sawyer, Senior Presidential Advisor on Governmental Affairs and Coordinator of the Fund, who reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring sustained care and opportunities for the affected children.
The Children’s Support Fund was set up to provide financial assistance, education and welfare support to families impacted by the tragic helicopter crash.
