President Mahama engages Ghanaian community in UK at London Town Hall Meeting
President John Dramani Mahama has met with members of the Ghanaian community in the United Kingdom during a Town Hall Meeting in London, where he discussed governance, economic development and the role of the diaspora in national progress.
The engagement formed part of activities surrounding the Ghana-UK Investment Summit, which seeks to strengthen bilateral trade relations, deepen economic cooperation and attract investment into Ghana.
Addressing participants, President Mahama reaffirmed his government's commitment to accountability, inclusive governance and national development.

He also outlined ongoing constitutional review processes aimed at expanding diaspora participation in governance. According to him, the proposed reforms include provisions that would allow eligible dual citizens to serve in Parliament and hold ministerial positions.
President Mahama further highlighted Ghana's improving economic outlook, noting that the country's recovery and reform efforts have gained international recognition.

On regional integration, he reiterated Ghana's commitment to advancing cooperation under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), describing regional collaboration as important for promoting economic growth and shared prosperity across the continent.
The meeting also highlighted the contribution of Ghanaians living abroad to the country's development and the role of the diaspora in strengthening international partnerships and supporting Ghana's socio-economic transformation.
