President Mahama jets to Congo
President John Dramani Mahama has travelled to Brazzaville in the Republic of the Congo to attend the investiture ceremony of President Denis Sassou Nguesso.
The trip follows the launch of Ghana’s flagship Free Primary Healthcare Programme in Dodowa, an initiative aimed at expanding access to essential healthcare services across the country.
President Sassou Nguesso is being sworn in for another five-year term after securing re-election, with several African leaders expected to attend the ceremony.
Officials say President Mahama’s participation underscores Ghana’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic relations and regional cooperation.
He is expected to return to Ghana on Thursday.
