Denyaseman Catholic SHS receives massive donations from Bekwai MP after disaster
The Member of Parliament for Bekwai Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Ralph Poku-Adusei has donated a substantial relief package to Danyaseman Catholic Senior High School, which recently suffered a devastating disaster.
The relief items, presented on Wednesday, 18th February 2026, include 100 bags of cement, 10 packets of roofing sheets, and GHS 5,000 cash.
Accompanied by officials from the Municipal Education Directorate, the MP acknowledged the school's infrastructure struggles since 2010 and assured staff and students of his commitment to supporting the school.
Notably, as of the time of the donation, neither NADMO nor the Municipal Assembly had visited or provided aid to the school, despite the severity of the situation.
Mr. Poku-Adusei, leaving his busy schedule in Parliament, intervened to address the issue, bypassing bureaucratic processes to respond swiftly, having witnessed the devastation firsthand.
He praised teachers for their dedication, citing their funding of a 3-unit classroom block and headmaster's office.
The headmaster, receiving the donation, expressed appreciation for the MP's timely intervention.
He noted that apart from a boys' dormitory built since 2010, this is the first donation from an MP to support the school.
The donation has been welcomed by school authorities, who thanked the MP for his support.
