Deputy Finance Minister supports BECE candidates with practical science clinic in Asuogyaman
The Deputy Minister for Finance and Member of Parliament for Asuogyaman in the Eastern Region, Thomas Nyarko Ampem, has organised a practical science clinic aimed at enhancing academic performance among students in the constituency.
The initiative, held in collaboration with Learn Right Education Consult, brought together 319 students from both public and private schools at the Akosombo VRA Complex School on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
Participants, drawn from the 2025 Ampem EduCamp cohort, were taken through hands-on science sessions designed to strengthen their understanding of practical concepts and better prepare them for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
Mr. Ampem said the programme forms part of efforts to bridge the gap between theory and practice in science education, while boosting students’ confidence ahead of their exams.
He noted that the clinic also serves as a follow-up intervention to the EduCamp initiative, reflecting his continued commitment to improving educational outcomes and raising academic standards in the Asuogyaman District.
The Deputy Minister encouraged the candidates to remain focused and perform excellently in their upcoming examinations.
