Kwahu West MCE donates snacks to BECE candidates, encourages SHS education
The Municipal Chief Executive for Kwahu West, Tamimu Halidu, has donated more than 3,000 yogurts and chocolates to candidates sitting for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) across the municipality.
The donation formed part of efforts to encourage and motivate candidates during the examination period.
The items were distributed to students at 11 examination centres within the municipality to help boost their morale and confidence.
Speaking during the exercise, the MCE urged the candidates to remain committed to their education and work hard toward gaining admission into Senior High School.
He also advised them to stay focused and take their studies seriously in order to achieve academic success.
Some of the candidates who received the items expressed appreciation to the MCE for the support, describing the gesture as timely encouragement during the examinations.
The students also said the examination papers so far had been fair and manageable and expressed confidence in passing successfully.
