The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies, Accra, Prof John Kwaku Mensah Mawutor, has led a high-level delegation to pay a courtesy call on the Deputy Minister for Finance and Member of Parliament for Asuogyaman, Thomas Nyarko Ampem, as part of efforts to advance discussions on the proposed UPSA Gyakiti Campus near Akosombo in the Eastern Region.

The delegation included the Registrar, Mrs Lorraine Gyan; Associate Professor of Accounting, Professor Samuel Antwi; Acting Director of Administration, Dr Mrs Leticia Akyeampong; Director of Counselling, Dr Stephen Acheampong; and President of the UPSA Global Alumni Association, Mr Francis Dadzie.

The engagement forms part of ongoing stakeholder consultations aimed at facilitating the establishment of the proposed campus, which is expected to expand access to higher education and strengthen development within the Asuogyaman area and surrounding communities.

The delegation noted that the proposed Gyakiti Campus would also help extend the university’s academic and institutional impact beyond Accra while creating opportunities for community growth and development in the Eastern Region.

The meeting further explored possible areas of collaboration and support to ensure the successful implementation of the project.
