Adansi Asokwa MP supports 137 youth with vocational training startup kits
The Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Godwin Dorgbadzi-Dorani, has provided startup kits to beneficiaries of a skills training programme aimed at equipping young people, particularly girls, with vocational skills.
The beneficiaries, who received training in dressmaking and hairdressing, were presented with industrial sewing machines and hairdryers to help them establish their own businesses and become self-reliant.

Speaking to the media during the distribution exercise, Mr Dorgbadzi-Dorani said the initiative forms part of efforts to empower the youth through skills development and create employment opportunities within the constituency.
He noted that equipping young people with employable skills can help address challenges such as unemployment, teenage pregnancy and petty crime while improving livelihoods.

According to the MP, vocational training remains an important tool for promoting economic independence and reducing the burden on families.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the MP for the support, stating that the training and startup equipment would help them earn a living and contribute to their communities.
They said the intervention would also ease the financial burden on their parents and provide them with opportunities to build sustainable careers.
