Interior Minister commends new immigration recruits at Assin Fosu passing-out parade

The Minister for the Interior, Mohamed Muntaka Mubarak, has commended the newly passed-out recruits of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) for their discipline and exceptional conduct during a six-month rigorous para-military training programme.
Speaking at a colourful Passing-Out Parade held at the Immigration Service Training School in Assin Fosu, the Minister urged the recruits to uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and discipline as they begin their careers in national service.
He underscored the pivotal role of the Ghana Immigration Service in safeguarding the country’s borders and maintaining national stability.
“Your work will have a direct and lasting impact on the safety and security of our nation,” he noted, encouraging the recruits to rise to the challenge of evolving threats in border security.
Alhaji Muntaka reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to enhancing the capacity of the Service through sustained logistical support and specialised training, aimed at strengthening national border management systems.
He congratulated the recruits on their successful completion of training and expressed confidence in their readiness to serve with honour and dedication.
A special highlight of the event was the recognition of Recruit Stanley Awuley Lartey, who was named the Overall Best Recruit. The Minister praised Lartey's outstanding performance, describing it as a testament to excellence, determination, and leadership.
The event drew dignitaries, senior officers of the GIS, family members, and members of the public, who gathered to witness the formal integration of the new recruits into active service.
