Albert Okine recognised for family and professional legacy
Albert Okine, a Physician Assistant based in Sioux City, has been recognised for both his contributions to healthcare and the family legacy he has built with his wife, Mary.
Mr Okine served patients for many years alongside the late Dr Rodney Dean at Dean & Associates and is also a board member of the Global Infectious Disease Institute (GIDI).
Originally from Ghana, he moved to the United States and established a career in healthcare while raising a family with his wife.
According to accounts shared about the family, Albert and Mary focused on faith, education, discipline, service, and character in raising their four children.
Mary dedicated her time to supporting the children's upbringing during their formative years, with an emphasis on academics, church involvement, volunteerism, athletics, and community engagement.
Their children have gone on to pursue careers in medicine, dentistry, law, and healthcare. Most recently, their son, Christopher Okine, earned a medical degree from the University of Michigan.
After raising their children, Mary returned to school and obtained a degree in Physical Therapy before beginning her own professional career.
The Okine family's story has been highlighted as an example of the impact of family values, education, and service across generations.
Albert Okine's legacy is recognised not only through his work in healthcare but also through the achievements and contributions of his family.
