MahamaCares move to improve access to healthcare services
The Ghana Medical Trust Fund(GMTF) also known as MahamaCares has announced a renewed push to improve access to healthcare, with its team deployment to hospitals across the country to enhance service delivery.
The initiative, led by Adwoa Oboubia Darko, the Administrator of the Fund is focused on making healthcare more accessible, easier to navigate, and more responsive to the needs of patients.
According to the Fund, the intervention is part of broader preparations aimed at addressing barriers that often prevent individuals from receiving timely and adequate medical care.
According to her, the programme will prioritise improving patient experience within health facilities, ensuring that services are more efficient and inclusive.
The Fund indicated that the next phase of the initiative will involve field operations, extending support beyond hospitals to reach communities directly.
The move underscores a commitment to equitable healthcare, with the Fund emphasising that access to quality medical care should not be determined by one’s location.
The Ghana Medical Trust Fund says it will continue to roll out targeted interventions to strengthen healthcare access and outcomes nationwide.
