Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor donates medical equipment worth GHS385,000 to Kasoa Mother and Child Hospital
The Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East Constituency in the Central Region, Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor, has presented essential medical equipment and supplies valued at GHS385,000 to the Mother and Child Hospital at Kasoa CP.
The intervention forms part of the MP’s ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare delivery and strengthen medical facilities across the constituency.
Speaking during the presentation, Madam Okunor reaffirmed her commitment to improving access to quality healthcare services for residents of Awutu Senya East, stressing that investment in health infrastructure remains a key priority.
The items donated included one anaesthetic machine, two laptops, five drip stands, three nebulisers, two scales with height measures, and six blood pressure apparatuses.
The hospital also received four neonatal Ambu bags and masks, four adult Ambu bags and masks, four fetal dopplers, and six infrared thermometers.
Additional equipment presented was two delivery beds, three LED examination lamps, two delivery sets, two suturing sets, four pulse oximeters, six sterile drums, ten needle holders, two hospital beds, two examination couches, and a laryngoscope with three blades.
The donation further comprised 30 plastic chairs, six plastic tables, four screens, five Veronica buckets, two office chairs, one office table, ten glucometers, five stadiometers, two neonatal digital scales, one microscope, one pen touch device, and assorted medical tools including forceps sets, kidney dishes, gallipot sets, epiliating forceps, lid guard speculums, a Snellen chart, pinholes, and an ophthalmoscope.
Hospital authorities expressed gratitude for the support, noting that the equipment would significantly improve maternal and child healthcare services at the facility.
