The donation, made in collaboration with the Regional Coordinating Council, was presented on her behalf by the Regional Political Coordinator and Presidential Staffer, Mike Dery, together with the Central Regional Minister, Ekow Okyere Panyin Eduamoah.
Presenting the items to the Muslim Council, Mr Dery urged members to remember the government in their prayers, particularly asking for strength and wisdom for the administration to deliver on its development agenda for both the region and the country.
He also called for prayers for global peace, specifically appealing for a ceasefire in tensions involving Iran, the United States, and Israel, noting that geopolitical instability has contributed to rising crude oil prices, which continue to impact Ghana’s economy.

The Mayor of Cape Coast, George Justice Arthur, also addressed the gathering, commending efforts to support the Muslim community during the fasting period.
He highlighted that Prof Opoku-Agyemang has consistently extended such gestures to Muslims over the years, including during her time in opposition, describing the donation as part of her long-standing commitment to inclusivity and support for religious communities.
He further urged the Muslim Council to continue praying for peace, unity, and development in both the Central Region and the nation at large as Muslims prepare to observe Ramadan.
