Six Degrees Africa has launched The Tatas Festival, a flagship campaign aimed at extending breast cancer awareness beyond the traditional month of October and promoting year-round discussions on early detection, survivor support, and breast health.

The launch event brought together healthcare professionals, policymakers, and survivors. Joycelyn D. Yaokumah, a Critical Care nurse and breast cancer survivor, shared her personal journey, highlighting the importance of early intervention, medical care, and mental resilience.

Hon. Lovelace B. Kwadzo Edzor, Deputy CEO of The Health Project and Parliamentary Health Coordinator for the Madina Constituency, pledged institutional support, emphasising that the festival aligns with local health priorities.

The campaign is driven by the Six Degrees Plugs initiative, which seeks to create a network of ambassadors capable of mobilising communities and turning the festival’s vision into action.

Organisers say the festival is designed to grow into a sustained movement, ensuring that breast cancer education and screening remain accessible year-round.

A spokesperson for Six Degrees Africa said, “The Tatas Festival is about breaking the silence and the stigma, building a community where no one has to fight this battle alone.”

Founded in 2016, Six Degrees Africa is the corporate events arm of Eden Events, specialising in high-impact gatherings that blend corporate excellence with social impact.
