In a public notice shared on its Facebook page, the FDA explained that such drinks can mask intoxication, which may lead to excessive alcohol consumption and other health complications.
The FDA warned consumers against purchasing or consuming the products and reiterated its commitment to protecting public health and safety.
“The FDA is working for your safety,” the authority stated in the post.
The authority further urged the public to remain vigilant and report banned or unregistered products on the market.
