Fanteakwa South NDC executives hold thanksgiving service with SDA Church
Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Fanteakwa South Constituency of the Eastern Region on Saturday, January 3, 2026, joined members of the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church in Dwenase for a special thanksgiving service to mark the first Saturday church service of the year.
The service was held to express gratitude to God for seeing the party through the year 2025 and for its victory in the 2024 general elections.
Speaking to Accra FM/CTV News, the Constituency Chairman, Mark Okraku, said the thanksgiving service was a fulfilment of a promise made during the 2024 election campaign.
According to him, the party visited various churches across the constituency, including the SDA Church, to seek God’s guidance, grace, and mercy ahead of the elections.
He explained that the NDC’s victory in the 2024 polls was a clear indication that their prayers had been answered, making it necessary to return to thank God for His blessings and favour.
Mr. Okraku noted that the Fanteakwa South NDC remains committed to promoting peace and unity among party members to enable them to work together to help the party retain political power in the 2028 general elections.
“We are in power, and as a party, it is our core responsibility to support the government to succeed so that Ghanaians will not regret voting massively for us in 2024,” he stated.
The Constituency Chairman also appealed to the youth, particularly those in Fanteakwa South who are currently unemployed, to exercise patience. He assured them that the government is working diligently to create more employment opportunities and reduce the unemployment rate across the country.
