Kwahu West MCE warns contractors to meet four-month deadline or face termination
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kwahu West in the Eastern Region, Tamimu Halidu, has cautioned contractors working on ongoing municipal projects to adhere strictly to the agreed four-month completion timeline or risk forfeiting their contracts.
He delivered the warning during a sod-cutting ceremony to officially launch thirteen new development projects across the municipality.
Alhaji Halidu noted that timely delivery is crucial—not only to protect the credibility of the contractors but also to meet the urgent needs of the beneficiary communities.
The MCE assured that the Assembly will closely track progress on all sites and provide the necessary technical and administrative support to ensure the projects stay on schedule.
He urged contractors to demonstrate professionalism and diligence to complete their assignments within the stipulated timeframe.
The thirteen projects span key sectors including education, water systems, CHPS compounds, and zonal council facilities.
Each is expected to be completed within a maximum of four months.
Alhaji Halidu also highlighted the specific benefits each project will bring to local residents, emphasising that the developments form part of the assembly’s broader commitment to improving living standards and expanding access to essential services.
