The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is holding its regional executive elections today, Saturday, August 15, as part of its internal reorganisation ahead of the 2028 general elections.

Delegates are voting to elect regional executives who will oversee the party’s activities and strengthen its structures at the regional level.

The positions being contested include Regional Chairman, First and Second Vice Chairpersons, Secretary, Treasurer, Organiser, Women’s Organiser, Youth Organiser, Communications Officer and Nasara Coordinator.

The elections form part of the NPP’s broader internal reorganisation, which began with polling station and constituency-level elections.

The party has deployed national representatives to the regions to supervise the exercise and ensure compliance with its approved electoral guidelines. The representatives are also expected to report on the conduct of the elections, including any irregularities.

The NPP has directed its Regional Executive Elections Committees to maintain professionalism and discipline throughout the process.

Results are expected to be announced after voting and the collation of ballots are completed.
