NPP's Upper West Regional Executive Elections halted after delegates’ interference

Interference by some delegates from the Nandom Constituency has disrupted the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) Upper West Regional executive elections.
The voting process was taking place at the Wa Technical Institute.
The cause of the interruption is not clear but it briefly unsettled what had, until then, been a peaceful and orderly election process.
Before the disruption, only seven out of 260 delegates from the region's 11 constituencies had cast their ballots, classfmonline.com gathers.
The Electoral Commission is supervising the exercise with 28 candidates contesting 11 executive positions.
None of the positions is being contested unopposed.
The election is expected to determine the new leadership of the NPP in the Upper West Region.
