According to Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister of State for Government Communications, the special national broadcast will offer Ghanaians an opportunity to assess President Mahama's performance and compliance with his campaign promises.
During the broadcast, President Mahama will highlight key achievements under his 120-day action plan, including the implementation of a leaner government structure designed to reduce public expenditure.
Other notable initiatives include the organisation of a National Economic Dialogue and an Education Dialogue, the launch of the "Tree for Life" and "Blue Water" environmental initiatives, and the rollout of the "One Million Coders" programme aimed at enhancing digital skills and promoting youth employment.
Furthermore, President Mahama will provide updates on the establishment of the Mahama Cares Health Fund, the abolition of the E-Levy, Bet Tax, and Emissions Levy, as well as the funding of the Women's Development Bank.
President Mahama will also throw more light on the Code of Conduct for all government appointees, underscoring his commitment to transparency and accountability.
Kwakye Ofosu emphasised the significance of the broadcast, stating, "On Wednesday, the President will hold a broadcast in which he will render account for his stewardship in the last four months or 120 days.
Therefore, I will urge Ghanaians to tune in and listen to the President so that they can draw their own conclusions as to the level of compliance with the very promises that the President made to the people of Ghana."
