Member of Parliament for Ketu North Constituency in the Volta Region, Eric Edem Agbana, has announced that chiefs and stakeholders in Dzodze have unanimously agreed to site the proposed 24-Hour Economy Model Market at Dzodze-Kave.

According to the MP, the decision was communicated to him by the Municipal Chief Executive, Martin Amenaki, following consultations with traditional leaders and community stakeholders.

The announcement comes after weeks of disagreements and public debate over the location of the project within the municipality.

Mr. Agbana welcomed the consensus reached, describing it as a positive outcome achieved through dialogue, consultation, and engagement with the community.

He noted that preparations for the project are set to begin immediately, with clearing of the site expected to commence on Monday ahead of the official handover to the contractor on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

The MP praised the role played by chiefs and queenmothers in resolving the matter, stating that their collective wisdom helped bring finality to the discussions surrounding the project’s location.

The 24-Hour Economy Model Market forms part of broader efforts aimed at promoting economic activity, improving local commerce, and supporting development within the area.
