The Danish Ambassador to Ghana, Jakob Linulf, has commended Margins ID Group for its pivotal role in advancing Ghana’s national development through digital identity solutions.
Speaking during a stakeholder engagement and tour of the company’s Intelligent Card Production Systems (ICPS) facility in Accra on Thursday, September 25, 2025, Ambassador Linulf described the Ghana Card project as a landmark achievement.
“The Ghana Card is a major achievement, and you should be proud of the contribution you are making to Ghana’s development,” he said.
The Ambassador praised Margins as a leader in Africa’s identity solutions sector, noting that its innovations set it apart from many ID companies on the continent.
He added that Margins ID Group’s reputation extends beyond Africa:
“Margins ID Group is famous in Denmark, and you should take great pride in your achievements.
You have our support, and I am very impressed with what I see here,” Ambassador Linulf remarked after the tour.
The Danish delegation, which included Jørgen Østergård Bollesen, Head of Trade, and Linda Kafui Abbah-Foli, Commercial Advisor, toured the ICPS facility alongside Moses Kwesi Baiden Jr., CEO of Margins ID Group.
Strengthening Partnerships and Expanding Africa’s Digital Identity AgendaIn his address, Mr. Baiden reaffirmed Margins’ commitment to strengthening international partnerships and deepening Africa’s digital transformation agenda.
“The Danish Government should be commended for its contribution to this project, and we will continue to collaborate with you in achieving new milestones,” he said.
“Together, we will innovate, expand, and deliver secure identification solutions that meet the evolving needs of Africa and beyond.”
He further emphasised the diplomatic significance of the collaboration, pointing to Margins ID Group’s support for Danish Constitution Day and other embassy initiatives as examples of how technology can strengthen cultural ties and bilateral relations.
From Humble Beginnings to Continental LeadershipFounded three decades ago with an initial investment of just $100, Margins ID Group has grown into a global technology powerhouse and a symbol of successful international cooperation.
Its long-standing partnership with Denmark, which began in 1999, played a key role in positioning Ghana as a continental leader in digital identity. Today, the Ghana Card is widely recognised as a model for other African nations, inspiring countries such as the Democratic Republic of Congo and The Gambia as they develop their own national identity systems.
