                                The Executive Secretary of the National Identification Authority (NIA), Mr. Wisdom Kwaku Deku, together with his management team, has paid a courtesy visit to a former Executive Secretary of the Authority, Dr. Josiah Alfred Cobbah.
During the engagement, Dr. Cobbah shared words of encouragement and advice, urging the new leadership to safeguard the integrity of Ghana’s National Identity System.
He reminded the team of the timeless value of integrity, stressing that “a good name is better than riches.”
He further encouraged them to remain steadfast in the face of challenges, to acknowledge and learn from mistakes when they occur, and to embrace modernised systems that enhance capacity, efficiency, and transparency.
Dr. Cobbah also emphasised the importance of upholding excellence and accountability in the management of the NIA, noting that the Authority’s credibility is central to Ghana’s governance and development.
The visit formed part of efforts by the current leadership to strengthen institutional continuity by engaging past executives for guidance and shared experiences.
