Black Queens climb to 59th in latest FIFA women’s world rankings
Ghana’s senior women’s national team, the Black Queens, have moved up to 59th place in the latest FIFA Women’s World Rankings from their previous 62nd position.
The improvement follows recent performances by the team and reflects gradual progress at the international level.
The latest ranking also points to ongoing efforts to strengthen the squad as it works toward returning to higher levels of global competition.
On the continent, the Black Queens are currently ranked third in the standings of the Confederation of African Football(CAF), maintaining their position among Africa’s top teams.
The ranking places Ghana among the leading sides in women’s football on the continent.
The development comes ahead of the upcoming Women’s African Cup of Nations, which will also serve as qualifiers for the next FIFA Women’s World Cup, and is expected to boost confidence within the team.
