Ghana international Antoine Semenyo has been nominated for the Premier League’s EA SPORTS Player of the Month award for September.

The Manchester City forward has been rewarded for his strong start to the 2026/27 campaign, having played every minute of the club’s five Premier League victories during the month.

Semenyo contributed two goals and two assists in September.

His first assist came in City’s 1-0 win over newly promoted Coventry City, when he delivered the cross from which Erling Haaland scored the only goal of the game.

He then played a key role in City’s 2-1 victory over Manchester United before producing his standout performance of the month against Sunderland.

Semenyo assisted Rayan Cherki before scoring twice as City beat Sunderland 5-3 in an eight-goal thriller.

The 26-year-old now has three assists in the Premier League this season, putting him among the joint-leading providers in the division.

Since joining Manchester City in January, Semenyo has scored 13 goals and provided six assists in 34 appearances across all competitions.

He is seeking his second Premier League Player of the Month award, having won the prize in February.

Semenyo faces competition from Mohamed Bellouni, Jayden Bogle, Pascal Gross, Charalampos Kostoulas, Alexander Isak, Jeremy Jacquet and Kevin Schade.

Semenyo was also included in Ghana’s squad for the September international break but later withdrew after suffering from a swollen leg.

He consequently missed the Black Stars’ 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Côte d’Ivoire and The Gambia.
