NPA boss tours fuel installations to assess operations

The Acting Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, has embarked on a nationwide tour of fuel installations to familiarize himself with their operations and challenges.
The visit aims to provide first-hand insight into ongoing activities, opportunities, and difficulties in the sector, enabling the NPA to offer the necessary regulatory support and direction.
Mr. Tameklo was accompanied by Deputy Chief Executive, Dr. Sheila Addo, and other senior management staff of the Authority.
The first stop on the tour was at the Ghana Petroleum Mooring Systems Limited (GPMS), where the team was taken offshore and briefed on the process of berthing fuel vessels and discharging fuel through pipelines to terminals.
The team also visited Ghana Bunkering Services Limited, where officials demonstrated the fuel discharge process into tankers for onward distribution to oil marketing companies.
The tour is part of the NPA’s broader efforts to enhance efficiency, ensure compliance, and strengthen the petroleum downstream sector.
