'We’re proud to be associated with you': Momo Ghana thanks Shatta Wale

Mobile Money (Momo) Ghana has thanked Reggae/Dancehall singer and record producer Shatta Wale for his “wonderful show,” which the company powered over the weekend.
For his 40th birthday celebration, Wale brought his Shatta Fest show to the Independence (Black Star) Square, Accra, on October 18, 2025, where an unprecedented number of people gathered to see him, with stars like Samini, Sarkodie, King Promise, Wendy Shay, Darkovibes, and others, supporting him on stage.
The mammoth crowd “filled the entire square, the stands and even spilled into the streets,” Sammy Flex, PR for Shatta Movement (SM), told Hitz FM.
“The drone shots captured people stretching from the stadium area all the way to Osu and Tema Station. The whole place was packed.”
When Wale visited the offices of Mobile Money Limited MTN Ghana on Monday, October 20, Shaibu Haruna, CEO of Mobile Money Ghana, had similar recollections of the historic day.
“Thank you for the wonderful show. I mean, I had no clue the kind of following - I obviously knew that you have certain powerful following but this weekend was extra special,” he remarked.
He saluted the music star's influence, which was on full display on Saturday, and recognised his legacy, too.
“We thank you for the things that you’re doing for our youth, in terms of inspiring the youth, and also pushing hard the boundaries of the music industry in Ghana,” Haruna said.
He emphasised, “We’re very proud of you, all the achievements that you’ve achieved over the years, and we’re proud to be associated with you.”
“Thank you for supporting our brand, as well. Thank you my brother,” he added, rose to shake the hand of Shatta Wale, spontaenously letting out the singer's popular cheer: “Paah, paah, paah.”
