COLA urges public to disregard claims by Minority Leader on Chain Home Lands
The Coalition of La Association (COLA) has called on the public to dismiss the claims made by Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo Markins regarding the ownership of Chain Home Lands.
During the vetting of the Defence Minister-designate, Dr Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, on January 28, 2025, Afenyo Markins asserted Chain Home Lands belonged to the Ministry of Defence.
COLA has strongly rejected these claims, calling them misleading and false.
The association stresses Chain Home Lands and their acquisition are for the people of La, not for the military.
In light of this, COLA urges the public to refute these inaccurate statements made by the Minority Leader.
Jeffery Tetteh, Secretary for the Collation of La Association, Speaking to Accra News Correspondent, Samuel Kofi Payitey provided clarity on the matter, citiing that, the minority leader Alexander Afenyo Martin's deliberate attempt to mislead the public and the minister designate Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah.
He called on the Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo Markins, to use the same vetting committee to retract his misleading comments regarding the ownership of Chain Home Lands.
