Three arrested for shooting incident and trespassing at Celebrity Golf Club

The suspects have been identified as Abubakar Mohammed, aged 28; Eric Asare, aged 23; and Felix Darko, aged 48.
According to a police statement signed by Superintendent Juliana Obeng, Head of Public Affairs at the Accra Regional Police Command, preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects falsely posed as National Security operatives and stormed a construction site belonging to one of the executives of the Celebrity Golf Club.
The statement said the men unlawfully discharged firearms during the incident, causing damage to parts of the property.
Police believe the attack is connected to an ongoing land dispute involving parties within the Nungua Traditional Council.
All three suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations.
The Accra Regional Police Command has since cautioned individuals and groups to refrain from acts of lawlessness, especially in relation to land disputes, warning that anyone found culpable will face the full rigours of the law.
“The Command assures the public that all persons involved in such unlawful acts will be dealt with according to law,” the statement emphasised.
