President Mahama sets resetting gaze on education sector

President John Dramani Mahama has expressed commitment to resetting the education sector at all levels to improve efficiency.
Speaking at the launch of the National Education Forum on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, he rallied all stakeholders towards alleviating the challenges of the sector.
He emphasised the need for to drafting keen solutions to ensure the delivery of quality education, and improved welfare of teachers, among other things, towards meeting the global standards.
In his speech, President Mahama pledged that his government will prioritise actionable reforms proposed from the forum with clear timelines and measurable outcomes to guide solutions.
He further pledged to increase the allocation of resources to critical areas including foundational learning with a focus on "the four literacies that I talked about; language, mathematics, science and and culture".
