'We commends Mahama's administration’s efforts in galamsey fight' - Solomon Owusu

Solomon Owusu, a leading member of the Movement for Change, has commended the Mahama-led administration for its commitment to the fight against illegal mining (galamsey).
According to him, the National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations (NAIMOS) Task Force, which was established to clamp down on illegal mining activities as part of the government’s intensified efforts, is making significant progress.
Speaking on the Citizen Show with Kwabena Bobie Ansah, he lauded the administration’s dedication to addressing the menace of galamsey.
Touching on issues of corruption, Solomon Owusu stressed that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) must be held accountable if it fails to bring corrupt officials of the former Akufo-Addo administration to book.
Speaking on the Mahama administration’s performance, Haruna Mohammed, Executive Director for Equity and Justice, emphasised that, having endured eight years under Akufo-Addo, Ghanaians should be grateful for the progress being made within just nine months of Mahama’s leadership.
