COCOBOD to announce new farm gate price
A new pricing regime for the 2026/2027 crop season is expected to be announced today by the Ghana Cocoa Board as a measure to improve the overall market share for local cocoa farmers.
The announcement comes on the back of efforts to secure financing for the new crop season and address liquidity challenges within Ghana’s cocoa sector.
Earlier this year, the government maintained the producer price for the 2025/2026 light crop season despite a decline in international cocoa prices.
The price remained at GH¢1,241.76 per 30-kilogramme load for Grade I and II cocoa beans and GH¢2,587 per 64-kilogramme gross bag.
