The Ghana Export-Import Bank has opened a two-day international conference in Accra to commemorate a decade of promoting export trade and industrial transformation.

The conference, held under the theme “A Decade of Enabling Export Trade and Industrial Transformation; Resetting GEXIM for the Next Frontier,” brings together policymakers, industry leaders, and development partners to reflect on the Bank’s achievements and chart a new course for the future.

The event was graced by the Vice President of Ghana, Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, whose presence underscored the government’s commitment to export-led growth and industrialisation.

Also in attendance was the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Johnson Asiama, alongside other distinguished speakers and stakeholders from across the trade and finance sectors.

Participants engaged in discussions focused on strengthening partnerships, unlocking new opportunities, and enhancing the competitiveness of Ghanaian businesses in the global market.

Organisers noted that the conference serves not only as a celebration of GEXIM Bank’s 10-year journey but also as a platform to reimagine its strategic direction in response to emerging global and domestic economic challenges.

The gathering is expected to conclude with renewed commitments and a clear roadmap to guide the Bank’s next phase of operations, as it continues to support Ghana’s export diversification and industrial development agenda.
