Tema Oil Refinery participates in offshore technology conference 2026
Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) has highlighted its commitment to innovation and sustainability following its participation in the Offshore Technology Conference 2026 held in Houston, United States.
The Chief Executive Officer of the refinery, Edmund Kombat led a team to join global industry leaders at the conference, engaging in discussions on the future of offshore energy, with a focus on responsible innovation, environmental sustainability, and cross-border collaboration.
The engagement provided TOR team with exposure to emerging technologies in offshore production, enhanced safety systems, and cleaner energy solutions, all of which are considered critical to strengthening Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector.
According to officials, insights gained from the conference will inform ongoing efforts to modernise operations at the refinery, improve efficiency, and align with global best practices in energy production and management.
The participation also underscores TOR’s broader goal of contributing to a secure and sustainable energy future for Ghana and the African continent.
