Ghanaian actress Louisa Adinkra has shared emotional details about the end of her marriage, revealing that deep down, she always suspected it might not work out.

In an interview with Emelia Brobbey on Adom TV , the actress disclosed that she has been single for about seven years. Reflecting on her experience, she said one of the biggest lessons she learned was to be very careful about the people she allows into her personal life.

According to her, sometimes the people closer to you can cause the most pain.

“You need to be cautious about people,” she explained, noting that those you trust the most can end up hurting you deeply.

Louisa revealed that her marriage did not fall apart because of just one issue but from several directions.

However, she pointed out that a particular individual played a major role in the breakdown of the relationship.

She recounted that someone close to her husband became deeply involved in their marriage, which created serious tension. At the time, she admitted she did not fully understand the situation, though she sensed the person had a strong influence.

The actress also said her ex-husband had warned her on multiple occasions to be mindful of the people around her, but she did not take those warnings seriously.

Looking back, Louisa acknowledged that there were clear signs early in the relationship that things might not end well, but she chose to ignore them because she was in love.

“I always had a feeling my marriage would collapse,” she said, adding that during their courtship, she noticed certain things when visiting her ex-husband that raised concerns, but she overlooked them.

Louisa Adinkra further revealed that she was married for nearly nine years.

Reflecting on that period now, she expressed regret, saying she feels she may have lost valuable time.

“I was married for close to nine years. Considering my age and the years I spent in the marriage, I sometimes feel like I wasted my time,” she added.
