Kwahu South MCE assures tight security ahead of Easter festivities
The Municipal Chief Executive for Kwahu South Municipality, David Effah Osei Bonsu, has assured residents and visitors of robust security arrangements ahead of this year’s Kwahu Easter celebrations.
Kwahu Easter, one of Ghana’s biggest tourism events, attracts thousands of revellers from across the country and beyond each year.
Speaking at a press briefing in Mpraeso, Mr. Osei Bonsu disclosed that more than 1,000 police personnel will be deployed across the municipality to maintain law and order throughout the festive period.
He explained that the deployment is aimed at ensuring the safety of both residents and the large number of visitors expected in the area.
According to the MCE, the Ghana Police Service will collaborate with other security and emergency agencies to guarantee a peaceful celebration.
He noted that personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service will be on standby to respond to fire outbreaks, while the Ghana Immigration Service will monitor movements at strategic points.
In addition, the National Ambulance Service of Ghana will be deployed to provide emergency medical support when needed.
Mr. Osei Bonsu urged the public to cooperate with security agencies and adhere to safety guidelines to ensure a safe, peaceful, and incident-free celebration.
He emphasised that collective responsibility will be key to maintaining order and making this year’s Kwahu Easter a success.
