Cina Soul challenges TGMA snub, calls for review of nomination process
Ghanaian singer Cina Soul has formally raised concerns with Charterhouse following her absence from the nominations list for the 27th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs).
The artist, who released her debut album Did I Lie in September 2025, expressed disappointment after the project failed to secure a spot in any of the Album/EP categories.
In response, she has petitioned the awards organisers, seeking clarity on why her work was overlooked.
Speaking in a recent media interview, Cina Soul revealed that she had high expectations for the album, particularly in major categories.
She noted that beyond Album of the Year, she also believed her collaboration with Stonebwoy on the track Larger Than Life deserved recognition in the Collaboration of the Year category.
According to her, the album performed strongly and resonated with listeners, making its exclusion from the nominations surprising.
She stressed that her petition is not just about personal recognition but also about ensuring transparency in the awards process.
Meanwhile, organisers of the TGMAs have indicated that nominees were unveiled on March 14, 2026, and that stakeholders have a limited period to raise objections or request corrections.
The review window allows artists and industry players to challenge any perceived inaccuracies before the final list is confirmed
