Singer Mzbel seeks a stage, not a state role from NDC
Ghanaian singer and entrepreneur Mzbel has appealed to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to recognise her contributions to the party by offering her performance opportunities rather than political appointments.
In a video shared on social media, the artist expressed frustration that despite her visible support during the party’s campaign, she has not been invited to perform at NDC events.
“I am not asking for a political role.
All I want is to be booked to do what I do best—entertain,” she stated.
Mzbel, who also operates a restaurant business, revealed that she has submitted proposals to government institutions to provide meals for staff but has yet to receive positive feedback.
She argued that her requests are modest compared to the sacrifices she made in openly backing the party.
