MadeInGhana says he would donate a kidney to Shatta Wale, hails superstar’s support for creatives
Ghanaian content creator and comedian MadeInGhana has stirred the entertainment scene with a heartfelt declaration on JoyPrime, saying he would even donate a kidney to dancehall superstar Shatta Wale to save his life.
MadeInGhana explained his devotion, stating, “God created us in His own image, and He died for us, so we can also be willing to die for our fellow human beings. I can donate my kidney to Shatta Wale because he has supported me so much.”
The comedian recounted how Shatta Wale helped elevate his online presence, taking his social media following from 13.4k to over 15k. “I remember when I was just starting, I sent a video to Shatta Wale while I was asleep.
He posted it on his page, and that changed everything for me. Sometimes people ask why all my videos feature Shatta Wale. You will understand — when someone does a good job, you should appreciate them,” he said.
He further emphasised the importance of mutual support in the creative industry.
“Shatta supports creatives, and we also support him. Anything Shatta asks me to do, I will do it, because he truly backs us. Not all artists are like him; some don’t even acknowledge the work we send them.”
MadeInGhana also praised Shatta Wale for attending one of his shows despite the logistical challenges and security concerns surrounding the superstar.
“Shatta left his comfort zone to attend my show. Normally, the crowds and disturbances in town would discourage him, but he took all the necessary precautions and still showed up. That really meant a lot to me,” he added.
The comedian’s admiration highlights a growing trend in Ghana’s entertainment industry, where established artists are using their platforms to uplift emerging creatives.
MadeInGhana’s statement has since gone viral on social media, sparking discussions about gratitude, mentorship, and the value of supporting fellow artists.
