Adenta fire station recovers body of boy, 11, from pit
Personnel from the Adenta Fire Station have recovered the body of an 11-year-old boy, Samuel Awalime, who was reported drowned in a pit at Adenta Aviation.
The rescue operation followed a distress call received by the station, with DOIII Obosu leading the firefighting team that responded to the incident.
Firefighters worked together with personnel from the Ghana Police Service, as well as chiefs and members of the traditional council, to carry out the search and recovery operation.
After several hours of intensive efforts, the body of Samuel Awalime was retrieved from the pit at about 10:50 AM.
The body was subsequently handed over to the Ghana Police Service, Adenta Division, for the necessary investigations and further action.
