Energy Minister to inspect critical power projects in Kumasi tomorrow
Dr John Abdulai Jinapor, the Minister for Energy and Green Transition, will conduct a working tour of major electricity infrastructure projects in Kumasi tomorrow to oversee efforts to improve power reliability in the Ashanti Region.
The tour begins at the Ridge Substation for an inspection of transformer upgrades, followed by an assessment of the Anwomaso–Boadi–Kaase sub-transmission line project currently being executed by Avensis.
The Minister’s itinerary also includes familiarization visits to the AKSA and CENIT facilities to review power generation support services.
He will then proceed to the Anwomaso–Airport sub-transmission line project to receive a status update on its impact on the local metropolis.
The working visit will conclude at the Airport Roundabout, where Dr Jinapor will meet with district managers from the Electricity Company of Ghana before addressing the media in a press briefing.
