Firefighters bring Tantra Hill blaze under control
Firefighters from the Amasaman Fire Station have brought under control a fire that affected at least 10 wooden structures at the Golden Door area of Tantra Hill in Accra.
The structures, which are used for both domestic and commercial purposes, were engulfed by fire on Monday, August 17.
The Assistant Divisional Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), Alex King Nartey, confirmed the incident in a Facebook post.
“The responding officers from Amasaman have successfully put the fierce fire under control,” he wrote.
Firefighters were deployed to the scene to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby properties.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are yet to be established.
