GA/R: Amasaman MP donates cement for Jidah Mosque construction
The Member of Parliament for Amasaman Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Sedem Afenyo, has fulfilled a pledge to support the construction of the Jidah Mosque in the Ayikai Doblo electoral area with a donation of 100 bags of cement.
The gesture follows a request from the mosque’s leadership and the wider community, who appealed for assistance to complete the project aimed at serving the area’s growing Muslim population.
Presenting the materials, Mr. Afenyo reaffirmed his commitment to supporting community development initiatives and promoting religious inclusivity.
He emphasised the importance of unity, cooperation, and collective responsibility in building sustainable communities.
Leaders of the mosque, along with community representatives and other stakeholders present at the event, expressed gratitude to the MP for honouring his pledge.
They described the donation as timely and crucial to the progress of the mosque’s construction.
The contribution is expected to accelerate work on the project and improve access to a place of worship for residents in the area, reflecting ongoing efforts to strengthen social infrastructure within the constituency.
