GA/R: Philanthropist responds to Ramadan appeal from Accra Academy Muslim students
A group of old students of Accra Academy in the Greater Accra Region have expressed deep appreciation to philanthropist and founder of Classical Media Group, Alhaji Seidu Agongo, for responding positively to an appeal to support Muslim students in the school during the holy month of Ramadan.
According to the alumni, they reached out to the renowned businessman and philanthropist to assist Muslim students on campus who observe fasting throughout the month of Ramadan.
The appeal was aimed at helping the students receive adequate meals and basic support for their early morning (Suhoor) and evening (Iftar) meals.
In response to the request, Alhaji Seidu Agongo quickly came to the aid of the students by providing food items and other forms of support to ensure that they observe the sacred period with ease and dignity.
The gesture has been widely welcomed by both the old students and current Muslim students of Accra Academy, who described the support as timely and impactful.
Some of the alumni noted that Ramadan is a period of sacrifice, reflection, and compassion, and the intervention by the Classical Media Group founder demonstrates the importance of community support and solidarity.
They further commended Alhaji Agongo for his continued commitment to humanitarian causes and his willingness to support young people in their educational journey.
The beneficiaries also offered prayers for him and his organisation, asking for continued blessings and success for his generosity.
Ramadan, which is observed by Muslims worldwide, is a period of fasting, prayer, charity, and spiritual reflection.
For students in boarding schools like Accra Academy, support from individuals and organisations often plays a crucial role in helping them observe the month comfortably.
The old students say they hope the act of kindness will inspire other philanthropists and corporate bodies to extend similar support to students observing Ramadan across the country.
