I believe in nature, giving and evolving to be the best of ourselves - Seidu Agongo
Businessman and philanthropist Alhaji Seidu Agongo has distributed sewing machines to some individuals residing in the Greater Accra Region.
Over 800 machines were freely distributed to the beneficiaries to support them and ensure a good living condition.
This initiative was in collaboration with the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) to empower women and young people with employable skills and provide them with tools needed to start or expand tailoring and dressmaking businesses.
The 830 machines form part of only the first phase of this kind gesture as Alhaji Seidu Agongo pledges to distribute 10000 sewing machines nationwide.
The activity was characterised by a ceremony attended by the Chief Executive Officer of the NEIP, Eric Adjei, and other dignitaries with the beneficiaries publicly receiving their machines and expressing their profound gratitude to Alhaji Seidu Agongo.
The gesture which received enormous applause went with the caption: "I believe in nature and its oldest laws of evolution; giving, upliftment, cooperation, and evolving to be the best of ourselves. Look at trees, look at animals, they support each other to co-exist. They don't see support as loss or waste. They see it as survival. They see it as growth. So should we."
